Cheltenham Chef v Chef 2008
The conception and formulation of this annual competition is to
promote modern cuisine exploring the use of local seasonal produce,
allowing young chefs to feature classical and innovative kitchen
skills in their search for culinary excellence.
The town of Cheltenham and surrounding areas have a magnitude of
fine restaurants and dining experiences to explore from traditional
to themed, with innovative and eclectic cultures. Offering excellence
to local, national and international visitors is significant in
maintaining a high profile.
The importance in providing quality training locally is enhanced
by Glosco culinary skills programmes, where many students have embarked
on their careers in the hospitality industry, often being the protégés
for the next generation.
We are eager to promote and continue training for the skills that
are required for the chefs of the 21st century and would like to
give them the opportunity to develop their careers through the Chef
v Chef Competition.
